Our Commitment to Safety

Cirque du Soleil is deeply committed to the care and well-being of our guests, employees and communities. As we work toward a responsible return to performing our shows around the world and with the health and safety of everyone at the forefront of our planning, we are implementing rigorous safety measures.

At Cirque du Soleil, we are prioritizing the education of our teams on a clear set of work practices to enable the safe and healthy resumption of live performance in conjunction with minimizing the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Should a patron or employee test positive or exhibit symptoms of the virus, our team is prepared to activate protocols and respond quickly to mitigate potential spread of the virus.

We will continue to adapt these safety measures as the situation evolves, working in conjunction with local health officials and government authorities. Specific current measures will be communicated to ticket holders closer to the show performance they will be attending.

Our Safety Measures

Providing a safe environment for our guests

  • Recommended arrival 30-45 minutes before the show starts to ensure enough time to be seated.
  • Physical distancing supported by our staff prior to entry to the theatre.
  • Hand sanitization upon entry at one of our many hand sanitizer stations encouraged.
  • Face masks for everyone age 2+ are required at all times except while actively eating or drinking.
  • We ask that guests with symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, loss of taste/smell etc) or those that have been exposed to others that have contracted the virus, please remain home and isolate.

Commitment to the safety of our employees

  • Thorough review of each site to ensure adjustments are made to safely prepare for arrival of our employees.
  • Training of all staff to understand the safe work practices required.
  • COVID-19 testing is a central pillar of virus containment for our teams.
  • Staff entry check point at each site to take temperatures and screen for symptoms.
  • Staff assessment for symptoms prior to departure for work.
  • Masks available to all staff and required to be worn at all times in the workplace, along with physical distancing and hand hygiene measures.
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfection in high-touch areas and workstations.
  • Cleaning staff trained on the sanitary measures required to efficiently maintain a high standard of hygiene and level of cleanliness

Physical distancing

  • Principles of physical distancing supported and encouraged in the following areas: upon entry and exit of the venue, box office, retail store, restrooms and food and beverage service areas.

Cleaning & sanitation

  • Thorough sanitization of all seating areas, counter tops, bathrooms and high touch objects prior to each show.

Box office

  • Refund policies will be determined by show and location. Policy information will be available at checkout.
  • E-tickets issued to limit person to person contact.
  • Cashless transactions encouraged.
